Bolton Church Gets Heating Grant
The Project
Corner Stone Church in Bromley Cross, Bolton, has has a brand new church heating system fitted thanks to a heating grant being awarded from Biffa Award. The scheme has allowed the church to have a £23,000 system installed just in time for Christmas, which is the churches busiest time of year.
The church is 28 years old, and was losing a huge amount of heat through it’s un-insulated walls, the system was also not thermally efficient. The new system works well to produce just the right amount of heat to make the church hall feel welcoming and comfortable for guests. The staff and visitors are delighted that the church will be warm this winter. The church heating system was a high priority to get sorted, and thanks to the funding, it was made possible, and all in the space of just a couple of weeks.
