Handcroft Chapel in South London contacted The Church Heating Specialist because of a rather worrying problem, the basement in which their boiler was situated had flooded! This was clearly a high priority job for us, so we leaped into action immediately. The problem was rather serious, but it was a easy fix, we simply dug out a new sump pit and pumped out the water with specialist water pumping equipment.
We then proceeded to replace the old, broken and seized floor standing boiler with a brand new state of the art church heating system. We also installed plate to plate heat exchangers and gave the whole system a complete industrial magna clean.
The owners are delighted with the brand new 3 zone heating system, to read more on the project, and to see pictures of the work, please click here.
The Church Heating Specialist has always been known for it's incredible customer service, hard work and dedication, but who are the people who make our company so special? Simply put, they are a collective of the very best church heating engineers in the industry, hand picked for their skills and expertise.
The company was founded by Damien Bradbury, and his brother Daniel. Both from Manchester, the duo qualified as heating engineers shortly after leaving college, and worked for a large national heating company, who just so happened to offer church heating services, but this was just a small part of what they do. After a few years, Damien realised that a dedicated church heating firm was needed. And 10 years later, the company has been built up to be the biggest church heating company in the UK.
But this industry domination was far from easy, we spoke to Damien: "Setting up the company was a logical step for me and my brother to take, but nothing could have prepared us for how much hard work we had to put in over the years to get ourselves established. 15 hour days, and 5am starts became the norm, but it was all worth it. I now employ 6 full time staff, and call upon my network of engineers if ever I need an extra pair of hands."

St. Mary's RC Church in Birmingham is a large building, split into 2 main sections, along with housing for the Fathers, and their heating bill was astronomical... Until The Church Heating Specialist got to work that is!
The spend on the monthly heating bill was calculated at 3 times what it should have been for a building of this size. An old, inefficient church gas heating system was to blame for this, and the number one priority was to replace the entire church heating system with a modern, efficient boiler, which would created a welcoming warmth, at a fraction of the price.
With over 1200 attending the weekly Sunday service, 2 large busy community rooms, and 8 Fathers residing at the church's living quarters, it was essential that there was minimal disruption, and that the building was not without heat for too long. We put 6 of our very best church heating engineers on the job, and everything was completed within 2 weeks, which is record time for a project of this size, and was 1 week ahead of schedule.
Everyone at the church was extremely pleased with the results, and to read more about the project and to see pictures of the work for the installation of St Mary's RC Church heating system in Birmingham, click here
Saint Michael and All Angels Church in Runcorn, Cheshire, called on the expertise from the UK's best Church Heating company when they had boiler and heating ventilation issues.
The church heating system had been inactive for 6 months, and so in the especially cold winter months, the church warden was desperate for it to be up and running again. There was a lot of work to do, but it was nothing that Manchester's most successful church heating specialists couldn't handle. They replaced the old dilapidated boiler and replaced it with a brander new Ideal Concored floor standing unit, as well as relocating it and fitting a brand new flue system. This also meant new ventilation ducts needed to be installed. The problem was, other heating companies had quoted high prices for overly complicated work, but being a truly professional outfit, The Church Heating Specialists had the tools, equipment and knowledge to solve this issue quickly, easily and cheaply.

The Church Heating Specialist were gracefully welcomed back with open arms to complete phase 2 of Rosco Church's heating system installation. With the project being split up into 2 phases, phase 1 was finished in record time, and now with a complete new boiler assembly required, it was time to get back to work.
Having all of the infrastructure of the system already in place, with new radiators, water pipes and ancillaries, it was time to fit a brand new boiler, to replace the existing cast boilers. The shiny new Ideal boiler was assembled by the team of specialist church heating engineers on site, as the fully assembled unit was too big and heavy to manoeuvre. The previous boilers were expensive to run, and had become so dilapidated over the years, there was really no choice other than to replace them.
But Reverend Mark was extremely happy we did replace it. He has already seen a huge increase in warmth generated as well as running costs reduced. The Leeds based church on Francis Street are now seeing a saving of over £250 per month on their heating bill, and are expectedly overwhelmed with the efficiency of their new system.
