Brixington Community Church in Exmouth near Exeter has been given only a matter of days for the decision to be made as to whether it gets demolished or not. The committee for the Development and Management division are holding talks over the next few days to decide the fate of the church.
The church has only been around since the 1960's, but it is a well loved and cherished building within the community, so there is controversy surrounding the decision, Planning officers have put forward a recommendation to proceed with the demolition, whilst the opposing town council say that it will cause a lot of disturbance.
The demolition of such a building will take many weeks, and will cause a lot of noise pollution, as well as increased plant traffic through the area.
The reason for the demolition is due to the dilapidated state of the building, the church heating system was too costly to replace, as it had failed a number of years ago, and the maintenance and upkeep was not adequate enough. To make sure your church building doesn't fall into disrepair, you should always maintain your church heating, and with monthly and annual contracts from the church heating specialist, it can be a lot cheaper than you think.
A new initiative launched by the Government now sees Churches receiving funding for installation of renewable heating systems. But not only that, you will also get paid for the amount of renewable energy you produce, which could be as much as £20,000 over the period of the scheme.
Renewable energy systems give churches the ability to produce their own heat in a self sustained way. Technology such as underground heating pumps reduces the need for the burning of fossil fuels to produce heat, and so not only saves money, but reduces carbon emissions and in turn helps the environment.
The Church Heating Specialist are fully qualified and recognised company for supplying and installing renewable heating systems. We have already helped a large number of churches become more eco friendly and save money by upgrading their existing church heating systems. The beauty of these systems is that they can be bolted on, so a complete re-build isn't necessary.

St. Mary's church in Heacham is rejoicing after their famous organ reaches 100 years of service. The quaint West Norfolk village church has housed the spectacular instrument since the early 1970's, after it was relocated from a church in East Finchley where it was originally installed.
The organ, although providing a vital service to the community, was out of action for a short while when it needed refurbished a few years ago, as damage from the church heating system resulted in some pipes having to be replaced. The problem has since been resolved, with the installation of a dehumidifier.
Featuring nearly 2000 pipes, the massive organ requires 2 services a year in order to keep it functioning correctly, and being valued at almost a million pounds, the instrument is a finely tuned machine, that has been lovingly played by Church organist Adrian Flower since he was 15 years old, and it's still as crystal clear now as it was all those years ago.
If your organ is becoming dilapidated because of the heating system currently installed in your church, call out the experts today. We can measure the humidity levels of your church heating, and take the appropriate action. It will save you a fortune in repair bills in the future.
After an incredible 30 years with no heating, St Peter's Church has finally been renovated, ending the 3 decade cold spell and marking a new rival for the building.
The medieval church has been without heating for so long now, that although the patrons are somewhat used to it, they are more than happy to welcome the warmth into the church.
The landmark building received a complete new church heating system that consisted of two Ethos 70 kW stainless steel condensing boilers, a Mikrofill pressurisation package and a Mikrovent low loss header/air and dirt separator. This, combined with a brand new church underfloor heating system and refurbished iron radiators, means that the large hall and smaller rooms are adequately heated throughout.
The main part of the system is situated in the basement, and the underfloor heating is covered by a new oak floor, which has brought a fresh new look to the church, whilst still remaining traditional in its appearance.

St John the Evangelist Church in Knypersley has been forced to close over winter because it's simply too cold to preach in, according to the Reverend Darren Fraser. The old local church's heating system has finally given up after years of creaking and banging, so it's time to have a complete overhaul.
The project has been estimated to cost around £40,000 so fundraising has already begun to try and reach their target. The Reverend has called upon the local community to help out, but fears that it could take many years to raise the required capital.
In the meantime, services are being held at the nearby community hall, and the congregation have been based their over the Christmas period. It's only a temporary measure, but everyone is extremely keen to see the church heating system up and running as soon as possible. If you would like to help, please feel free to visit the church to make your donation.
